Blessings are Passed to Children Through Parents Who Possess the Gospel
(Ephesians 2:7)
|
Everyone
wants to nurture their children well, however many children receive problems
and suffering from their families. We need
to become parents that deliver blessings to our children.
1. Spiritual
problems that are not solved within the parents are passed down to their
children.
(1) Curses
from idol worship are passed down to our children (Ex 20:4-5, 1Cor 10:20).
(2) Perfectionism
and legalism may seem like correct ways to raise children but only create
spiritual problems (Mt 12:43-45).
2. Your
family must become gospelized.
(1) Josh
24:14-15 Joshua’s decision
(2) Mt 1:1 family’s
genealogy
(3) Acts
10:1-45Cornelius’ family’s gospelization
(4) Acts
16:31 prison guards’ gospelization in Philippi
3. When
parents receive answers fully through Christ, then God’s blessing for their
children begins.
(1) Gen 3:15
spiritual problems solved
(2) 1Cor
1:18, Rom 1:16 God’s power
(3) Mt
16:13-20 mystery of complete victory
(4) Acts
4:12, Jn 14:6 mystery of uniqueness
(5) Eph 2:7
God’s blessing will be upon all the upcoming generations
4. When
parents and their children are able to have forum in the gospel, they will be
victorious in everything.
(1) Gen
22:1-13 Abraham and Isaac experienced together the discipline prepared by God
(2) Ex
2:1-10 Moses received the covenant through parents of the tribe of Levi
(3) Gen
37:11 Joseph’s father Jacob who kept Joseph’s dream in his heart
We must pray
together for…
1) me and my
children to have answers through the complete gospel, and to be a family that
passes down blessings
2) all
families within our church and all Remnants (especially for families and
remnantsfacing difficulties).
3) the
missionaries we are supporting and their mission fields (especially for Kenya
mission and fasting).
