The Gospel of the Unique Blessing (Philippians 2:5–14) 6/22/2025
Philippians chapter 2 explains the “uniqueness of the gospel,” the second blessing of the gospel we enjoy. What does uniqueness mean? It means that only Christ is the Son of God and our only Savior. Why is this important?
First, because this is the mystery for the church to become strengthened to save the world. When Peter and the disciples realized and confessed why it must be only Christ, Jesus gave them three promises (Matt. 16:16–19). So, if the church proclaims only Christ and lifts Him up alone, those promises will be fulfilled regardless of our circumstances, reality, or ability. The reason churches fall and become corrupt is because they lose hold of the uniqueness of Christ (reality of early church, medieval church, modern church).
Second, because the blessing of uniqueness flows from faith that believes and looks to only Christ. Even in small things we do, in our pain and tears, He will make them into evidence and masterpieces. He Himself helps us, guides us, and gives us victory (Revelation 12:17 "those who hold to the testimony of Jesus").
Third, because with this blessing, we can save all people bound by sin, curse, and darkness (world evangelization). Only He has freed us from sin, curse, destiny, and the power of hell (Romans 8:1–2). He crushed the head of Satan (Genesis 3:15). The devil who covers the field trembles, surrenders, and collapses before the name of this only Christ we believe in. Then, the Christ who ascended to the throne works (Mark 16:19), and the power of the Holy Spirit appears within us (John 14:16–18, Acts 1:8).
- How was this made possible?
1) Because only Christ was the Son of God and our only way of salvation.
① There is proof that He is the Son of God. The only evidence (Genesis 3:15, Isaiah 7:14 the offspring of the woman, Romans 1:4 the resurrection). No one else in history is the offspring of the woman. No one else has resurrected from death. That is why it is the unique gospel.
② The Son of God first lowered Himself and suffered Himself. This is the essence and the method of the gospel. The sinless Son of God, who knew no sin, became like a sinner and died miserably, opening the way of salvation for us (2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 Peter 3:18). No other religion teaches that someone died and atoned for me. That is why this is the only gospel.
2) This was described as God’s heart, the heart of Christ (Philippians 2:6–8).
God Himself lowered Himself. This is incomparable to any love, mercy, or grace in the world. Why did He lower Himself and suffer?
① He did this on behalf of the first man, Adam. Because of Adam’s disobedience, all humanity fell under the power of sin and death, but Christ took Adam’s place and obeyed to the point of death, bearing the curse (Romans 5:19). That is why He is the only Redeemer (Matthew 20:28). He paid the price for sin and freed us. So we must no longer live as slaves to sin and the world (Romans 6:18), nor be oppressed by sin, the world, or darkness (Acts 10:38). He taught us to fight against ourselves, the world, and Satan. Do not give up when you fall, but fight again. At that time, everything becomes evidence of our deep relationship with Christ (pilgrim), evidence of blessing (remnant), and evidence of victory (conqueror).
② He did it to sympathize with us. By taking on a human body and experiencing all the sorrow and suffering humans face, He took compassion on us (Hebrews 4:15). So He knows our weaknesses, wounds, failures, and tears (John 2:24). From this, we receive true comfort, courage, and strength. He knows me, has compassion on me, and He is holding onto me. More importantly, He becomes the only mediator who allows us to stand before God’s grace (Hebrews 9:15). Therefore, we pray in His name, ask for forgiveness in His name, break darkness and win in His name.
3) The Father exalted Him who lowered Himself and obeyed unto death. He gave Him the name above all names, made all things bow before Him, and confess Him as Lord (9–11).
① No one can be exalted without first humbling themselves. We must fear becoming proud or arrogant (Philippians 2:12). Satan and Adam and Eve fell due to pridefulness, and God opposes the proud (James 4:8).
② Sometimes, God allows pain, failure, and despair for this reason (Luke 22:30–32). It’s the reason He led the Israelites through the wilderness (Deuteronomy 8:16). Everyone God used passed through this time.
- How can we enjoy only Christ and live a life that saves the world?
1) First, enjoy the strength that comes when you fix your eyes only on Christ (Prayer of the 7 Bartizans). Make your own personal time. You need to meet him 1 on 1, meet Him deeply, and meet Him always (24 prayer). Pray that the 7 powers work within you. These are the powers of the Triune God on the heavenly throne (Mark 16:19). Power that transcends time and space (Psalm 139:1–10), create unprecedented works (John 14:12), defeat darkness with the light (Isaiah 60:1–2), revive 237 nations and 5,000 people groups (Acts 1:8), and save the future (Joel 2:28). Through the 3 courtyards ministry, this pwoer saves the next generation and the church (Isaiah 60:4–7).
2) In all your events, problems, and circumstances, become a vessel that must be used that way (Verse
1–4). This is the heart of Christ.
① Be of one mind and become one in everything (Verse1–2). Satan tries to destroy every blessed relationship through division and hurt. That pleases the devil. Just as the Father, Son, and Spirit are one, when we become united, we do what truly pleases God (spiritual synergy).
② Do nothing out of rivalry or conceit. Humbly consider others better than yourselves(Verse3). Don’t act competitively or to show off. Hide yourself (true humility). Humbling yourself does not mean you will be despised or looked down upon. God will lift those people up. God may have given others things that you don’t have. We must respect everyone.
③ Look not only to your own interests but also to the interests of others to make your joy complete(Verse4). Caring for your own work is responsibility and faithfulness. Caring for others is servant-hearted dedication. Timothy and Epaphroditus are introduced as models of such witnesses (young adult summit models). These kinds of workers must arise as summits.
Conclusion - In only Christ, even our small tasks, pains, and tears become the blessing of uniqueness, and in that, may we stand as true witnesses of Christ in the blessing of re-creation that saves people and the world.

Absolute and Eternal Gospel (Philippians 1:3–11) 6/15/2025
Starting this week, through the message of Philippians, we will confirm how immense the blessing of the gospel we have is. I bless you to stand as a witness who holds onto the gospel and enjoys it in this age full of problems, difficulties, and pain. Philippians, along with Ephesians (which we covered up to last week), Colossians, and Philemon, are the four books Paul wrote from prison, called the “Prison Epistles.” These books have most practically and deeply applied the gospel to our lives.
Do you know which word appears most often in Philippians? It’s “rejoice.” Paul was in prison facing hardships. It was a time when he must have been discouraged, feeling resentful, and hopeless. Yet, how could he say “rejoice” and “be joyful”? That is the power and blessing of the gospel. God allow him to overcome times of discouragement, resentment, and despair and deeply enjoy the blessings of the gospel. Are you facing problems, injustice, or shame from failure? May you become the believers who are revived by this gospel and save all those suffering on this earth through it.
Philippians 1 is the gospel of blessings that is absolute and eternal, Philippians 2 is the gospel of unique blessings, Philippians 3 is the gospel of blessings that is greater than all things, and Philippians 4 is the gospel of blessings that is most complete and enough. We will explore these in the next four weeks. Today is the graduation worship for Sunday School. Graduation is not the end, but a beginning of learning and experiencing greater and deeper things (commencement). What should you deeply learn and experience throughout life? God’s greatest gift and blessing, the gospel.
The core verse of Philippians 1 is: “Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus” (Verse 6). From this, hold on to three covenants contained in the absolute and eternal blessing of the gospel.
1. It says, “He who began a good work in you”
1) What is this “good work”? ① It is the salvation that delivered us from eternal curse, Satan, and the power of hell, and made us His children to enjoy eternal blessing. It is the salvation that rescues us from our enemies (Luke 1:71), and the salvation that grants forgiveness of all sins (Luke 1:77). ② Though we may stumble temporarily, we can never be ultimately destroyed, fail, or be cursed again. This is source of greatest joy, gratitude, and glory. Our spirits have received salvation (1 Peter 1:8–9).
2) Who began this good work? In other words, who saved us? ① The Triune God who created all creation. The Father willed it, the Son came as Christ and died and resurrected, and the Spirit helps us complete that good work that began in us. ② No one can stop it (core of Calvin’s Five Points). It’s the work of the absolute, eternal Creator God. This is why the salvation He began is absolute and eternal (blessing of 7 Journeys).
3) Why did He allow this work? This is His absolute love. Though all humanity fell due to Genesis 3, God never wished for anyone to perish (John 3:16). ① When did this love begin? When He made humans in His image (Genesis 1:27, 2:7). When did He prove His love for us? While we were still sinners (Romans 5:8). Who loved first? He did (1 John 4:10). ② We call this love absolute love (agape love). There are no conditions to this love. That’s why it’s called “good work.” The word “gospel” is the same. Were you unloved by people? Are you lonely? Hold onto and enjoy this love. Are you going through loneliness, despair, or heartbreak? This is your time to experience God’s deep love.
2. “Until the day of Christ Jesus” This refers to the day Christ returns. Christ first came to redeem us, rose again, crushed the power of death (Satan), gave eternal life, and gave us the right to be His children (Romans 8:15). Where is Christ now? He ascended to the throne of heaven and now dwells within us through the Holy Spirit.
1) What is the Holy Spirit doing in us until He returns? ① He helps us in our weaknesses and heals us who are covered in wounds (John 14:16–18, Romans 8:26). The moment we receive Jesus; we are covered by His blood and righteousness so that no one can condemn us (justification). But internal wounds, habits, and wrong natures remain, and they become pathways for Satan. If not healed, we become captive to loneliness, fear, hatred, and anger (Isaiah 61:1). ② He grows us into spiritual maturity (sanctification). We can discern God’s will and begin to live sincerely and blamelessly in devotion (Verse10). ③ From there, the fruit that pleases God can bear(Verse 11). That is the fruit of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23). Look to the throne 24/7, seek power of transcending time and space, unprecedented strength, power of light, and the power of the holy Spirit (blessing of 7 Bartizans).
2) Through this healing, maturity, and fruit of the Holy Spirit, what does God ultimately intend to do? ① For us to go and save others like us. That is the fruit of evangelism and missions (blessing of 7 Guideposts). The important thing is, He waits for us until the day He returns (God’s patience and endurance). This is why we should have compassion and wait for others (between spouses, parents and children, and fellow believers). ② Have you failed? Have you done something shameful? Don’t give up. Kneel before Him who waits and start again. This was the difference between King Saul and King David. This was the difference between Judas Iscariot and Peter. This is the difference of those who truly have the gospel.
3. “Will carry it on to completion” (the completion of salvation)
1) The day of the completion of our salvation will come. Right now, our soul is saved. But our mind, thoughts, and body can still be attacked by Satan (Ephesians 6:12, 1 Peter 5:8–9). The day of completion will come. Until then, we are to fight spiritual battles and work out our salvation (Philippians 2:12).
2) Christ continues to defend us (Hebrews 9:15), and fights for us until we win (Revelation 14:17). We may lose some battles, but the one who wins in the end is the true victor. They will be recognized as God’s children (Revelation 21:7). They are the "remnants" of the end times (Revelation 12:17).
Conclusion - Hold onto the power of the absolute and eternal gospel. With its power, fight to keep your faith, to save yourself, your family, and your children. Fight to save the church and the world. Everything will become absolute and eternal evidence.

What to Always Do Until the End (Ephesians 6:10–18) 6/8/2025
We live in increasingly difficult times with strained relationships in every area of life. Yet, God has given us the perfect and eternal answer. He sent His Son as the Christ to deliver us from sin, death, destiny, and the power of hell. In Christ, He also changed our identity. We are no longer those who belong to darkness or the world, but as are now His children, people, and household. He has also taught us how to live together in unity, compassion, and blessing (covered in the last 4 weeks' messages). The problem is that even though we have this blessed identity and authority and know how to live, our thoughts, hearts, and actions remain unchanged. When problems arise, we are still consumed by worry, fear, oppression, and our relationships remain difficult at church, at home, and at work. Eventually, this affects our health, our careers, businesses, and even our finances. Why is this? Even after salvation, hidden wounds and traumas linger in us. Long-standing habits and nature also cause problems. But there is a more fundamental reason. There is an enemy who attacks these things by deceiving, breaking us down, and making us lose all blessings. This is the devil that today's passage speaks of.
- The devil will use “schemes” (evil deception) to deceive us (Verse 11)
1) Satan had already lost his power when Christ came. ① From the moment man was deceived and fell into sin and curse, God gave the first promise (Protoevangelium, Gen 3:15). “The offspring of the woman will crush the serpent’s head.” This means Satan will be dealt a fatal blow. ② Jesus confirmed this in the field of evangelism to the 70 disciples who returned with the news of overcoming demons (Luke 10:18–19). “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven... I have given you authority...” ③ With this authority, we are promised a victorious life even amidst problems, suffering, or failure (1 Corinthians 15:55–57, Romans 16:20, James 4:7, 1 Peter 5:8–9, Revelation 17:14, Revelation 21:7).
2) What remains of Satan is his last desperate attempts. He will muster up every last bit of his strength to do more evil things (Revelation 12:12). He uses our weaknesses, wounds, traumas, environment, and broken relationships to deceive us. ① Even after being freed from 400 years of slavery, the Israelites still had a “slave mindset.” This is what Satan targeted. When the ten spies gave a negative report, most of the people fell into unbelief and could not enter Canaan (Numbers 14:22–23). They later fell into idolatry, sexual sin, and were bitten by snakes. The answer God gave then was the bronze serpent (Numbers 21:7–9). ② Israel's kings also failed. Saul failed due to continued unbelief and disobedience (1 Sam 16:14). David fell into sexual sin and even murder (2 Samuel 11:2–4). Solomon failed of falling into idolatry by taking many foreign women as concubines (1 Kings 11:9–11). ③ Even Jesus’ disciples were not exempt. Judas was deceived by Satan, sold Jesus for 30 silver coins, and committed suicide (John 12:6, 13:27). Peter was deceived by Satan (Luke 22:31–32). Ananias and Sapphira, who gave their possessions, still fell due to Satan (Acts 5:3).
- There are three secrets in today’s passage by which we can overcome the devil’s schemes and have victory.
1) Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power (verse 10). Receive the strength that Christ gives. When we are weak, even small problems make us unable to see and crumble. Satan knows very well when we are weak. ① When do we gain strength? When we fix our eyes only on Christ. When we fix our eyes on Christ who saved us, who reigns at the throne, and who is with us through the Holy Spirit (Colossians 3:1), we gain that strength. The moment we fix our eyes on the world or people, we get deceived. ② How do we fix our eyes on Him? Do it in your daily lives. Spend just 10 minutes in the morning meditating on God’s Word and praying. During the day, in all events and problems, seek for His help. In the evening, give thanks and pray for the Holy Spirit’s work in tomorrow’s plans, and for the Holy Spirit to work even as you asleep. ③ When problems or incomprehensible things happen, pray to grasp His deeper purposes. Acknowledge that His will, His works, and His power are deeper, greater, and broader than ours (Proverbs 3:5, Ephesians 3:19).
2) Put on the full armor of God (repeated twice in verses 11 and 13). What has He given us? The Gospel. Buckle your waist with belt of truth, wear the breastplate of righteousness (14), shoes of the gospel of peace (15), shield of faith (16), and helmet of salvation and sword of the Spirit (17). ① Reflect on the Gospel until it becomes imprinted enough to change your way of thinking. Then, the darkness in your thoughts will break. If Gospel-centered thinking takes root, God will do beyond all you ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). ② Hold on to the Gospel and pray until it becomes rooted in your soul. Then, when life’s storms come, you will not be shaken. Times of crisis will become your greatest testimony. ③ Apply the Gospel, even just one aspect of it, to your real problems until it becomes your nature. Then you will save yourself and others. Religion and law cannot save anyone and only bring more burden (Matthew 12:44–45).
3) Pray in the Spirit continuously (18). Raise a bartizan of prayer. A bartizan is established for battle. When this is built, God sets up watchmen who do not rest (Isaiah 62:6–7). ① Be alert and always pray (1 Peter 5:8–9). When even one person stays alert in prayer, all can be protected. Prayer is when we can remain alert and awake. When God gives important answers, He first awakens us to go into prayer and prepares us. Even when Satan schemes, God prepares us ahead of time to be awake and pray. Only then will everything turn into blessing. ② Pray for fellow believers (Matthew 18:18–19). This is the blessing of intercessory prayer. When you pray for someone, someone else will also pray for you. When this flow is in a church, the church will surely be revived, and Satan will have no foothold to work. ③ Pray for evangelists and God’s servants (19). Evangelists and pastors are Satan’s top targets. Helping them revives the age and brings answers for the age. But if Satan brings them down, the doors to evangelism close and the world is covered in darkness. If he brings down pastors, church doors close, future generations suffer, and the future becomes dark.
Conclusion - Know the schemes of Satan. With the faith that fixes your eyes on Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit, may you always have victory until the very end.

Witnesses Who Save People in the Workplace (Ephesians 6:5–9) June 1, 2025
Why the world grows more difficult by the day is clearly from human greed and spiritual problems. As believers, we must understand this root problem and hold fast to the answer of God (the Gospel). Because we could not save ourselves, God sent His son as the Christ.
What has God accomplished through Christ? He has restored all blessings. It is explained in Ephesians 1-4.
Ephesians 1. Jesus died for us, who possess fundamental sinfulness, enslaved to Satan’s power and human greed (1:7), He rose again (1:20), and by the Holy Spirit
He sealed us (1:13), and made us able to enjoy His power (1:19). He has given us the blessing of Salvation.
Ephesians 2. We are no longer slaves to the flesh, the world, or the “sons of disobedience” under Satan’s sway, but instead, by grace we have been made God’s people, His household and family, and now live under His reign (2:19). He has changed our spiritual status.
Ephesians 3. God’s plan in Christ was to save all the Gentiles through us who have been given this blessing (3:6). This is the blessing of World Evangelism. How is it possible? He wants us to go deep into His love and power (3:16) and take root (3:17). Why do problems come? They come so that we root deeply into His love and power in the Gospel. What kind of results will follow? will supply overflowingly more than we ask or think (3:20). That the secret for saving the world.
Ephesians 4. Now what must we do from here? Overcome all things and become united in Christ (4:3). Only then can we grow in strength. That is the mystery of the church community (4:12). Therefore, do not slander or speak evil of one another. Rather, show compassion, be kind, and forgive as Christ forgave you (4:31–32). This is the list of a believer (maturity).
Ephesians 5–6 is the conclusion. Where this life can be trained and enjoyed? It begins with family. That is why we cherish one another as spouses, obey each other, and love each other. Same for parent-child relationships, as well as relationships at workplaces.
- Why is the relationship at workplace so important?
1) If we are suffering at work, that influences the home and every other relationship. The bitterness that we experience on the job does not only destroy you. It destroys all relationships.
2) God will give evidence through everything that you experience at work (Romans 8:28, Acts 1:8).
① At first, you may make mistakes, be treated with dismissal, or face injustice. But our goal is that one day, that very workplace becomes a place where it bring you joy and happiness. It becomes a place where you experience blessing and even become a blessing to others.
② Ultimately, it’s all about relationship. You become someone of good influence and help. In time, that turns into a precious relationship. Abraham experienced this (Genesis 21:22), Isaac experienced this (Genesis 26:29). Even when the world grows dark, God blesses those who have this kind of testimony.
3) The fruit of that blessing opens doors for evangelism. When coworkers see you handling problems and conflicts differently, they begin to soften and open up about their own hardhips. This is the reason for God to bless you at work. You can save people in your field. You workplace can become a “field church” and pave the way for the 3 courtyards (healing, all nations, posterity). The 300% worth of blessings will then follow (100% of saving yourself, 100% of God-blessed professional specialty, 100% of saving the field).
- How do we build or transform these workplace relationships into channels of blessings? We must meditate deeply on the Bible and today’s scriptures and apply it.
1) Have faith in the fact that your occupation is a gift and inheritance from God.
① Psalm 16:6–7 says, the “Lord keeps my lot secure,” and the boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places as a delightful inheritance.” Before you even enter a workplace, pray holding onto this covenant: “Lord, lead me to the place You have prepared for me.”
② Once you start working, don’t lose that conviction that “God opened this door because I prayed holding onto the covenant.” When you hold onto that promise, your workplace will be precious. You begin to give thanks, and find joy, passion, and vision there. Then, even when you make mistakes, face conflict, or suffer injustice, you can wait and endure. If you pray according to you schedule and continuously, God will give you wisdom and strength to persevere. Until you see the evidence God promised, do not be moved (by money, benefits, or hardships).
③ As your faith grows, also hold onto the covenant of “lighthouse and bartizan” (Isaiah 62:6–7). If your workplace feels dark and hopeless and full of discouragement, hold even more firmly to this covenant. Because it is dark and hopeless, it needs a lighthouse. Become the lighthouse that shines the light of Christ. It is not just darkness. There surely is work of Satan, who is the spirit of darkness. So even if it is only you, you must become the bartizan that can fight against the darkness in prayer. Then, God will post his angels as watchmen to work without rest (Isaiah 62:6-7).
2) It says to all workers (“slaves” in the time of the Bible) “Obey those above you” (5).
“Just as you would obey Christ.” What does that mean?
① Think of every supervisor as a person God has allowed over you. Even if they seem less qualified, you can follow and you can obey. That will become apparent, and it will build relationships.
② Don’t just do a “show for people” to please people. Serve from your heart “as to do the will of God” (6). Jacob is a model of this (Genesis 31:40-42). Joseph is a model (Genesis 39:3). Daniel, who was exiled and was under captivity, is a model (Daniel 6:26).
③ Serve wholeheartedly in joy “as if you were serving the Lord” (v. 7). As a believer, no matter what you do, you are never a “slave” of people. You are God’s servant that God uses. So serve “as to the Lord, not people.” Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do (8). People may assess us, but God assesses us. God is the one who lowers or raises (1 King 29:11-12). Even wicked King Ahab who worshipped idols recognized Obadiah’s faithfulness. He could not despise nor dispose of Obadiah.
3) God gave His word to the supervisors as well (9).
① It says, “Masters, treat your slaves in the same way” (9). Show them respect and never forget that each person under you is entrusted to you by God. When employees sense that genuine respect, their hearts open, and a deep bond of loyalty and devotion is formed.
② It says, “Do not threaten them” (9). Do not exploit or intimidate people for your own gain. This means having an insulting attitude. Because the Master of both parties is in heaven. Both parties will ultimately stand before God up above.
Conclusion – In this Word, we talked about “vocation,” “profession,” and “occupation.” In your life, may your workplace and businesses become your greatest happiness and blessings, and there, may you become witnesses to establish God’s kingdom.

Raise Them in the Discipline and Instruction of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4) 5/25/2025
The Bible says the world will become darker and more painful (Isaiah 60:2, 2 Timothy 3:1–5). Why is that? Fundamentally, it is due to humanity's endless corruption driven by greed, and Satan’s destructive acts out of rage, knowing his time is short (Revelation 12:12). But there’s also a problem in reality. The parent generation is not properly helping the next generation. Among the three ministries the church must do (multiethnic, healing, and remnants), the remnant ministry ultimately determines the future. That is why Jesus, while carrying the cross, said, “Do not weep for me, but weep for yourselves and your children” (Luke 23:28). That is why Jesus said to Peter, who had failed but was restored, “If you truly love me, feed my lambs” (John 21:15). Today’s passage gives us a simple but profound manual on how to raise and help our children. It gives three commands. “Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but raise them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.”
- It says, “Fathers.” This means that the responsibility for raising the next generation lies with fathers.
1) Just as God established a covenant with Adam first, He appointed husbands and fathers in the home to establish a covenant of the family. God called Noah, gave him grace, and established a covenant for his whole family (Genesis 6:8, 13, 18). God called Abraham, established a covenant (Genesis 12:1-3), and gave him the mission to pass down that covenant and blessings (Genesis 18:17–19). God called Jacob, made a covenant with him (Genesis 28:13-15), and blessed his children to become the twelve tribes of Israel (Genesis 49:1–33).
2) Then who is the wife? She is called to partake in enjoying this covenant and blessings, and to help deliver it to the next generation. That is why the man is the head of the woman, and the father is the spiritual priest of the family (in the world, called “patriarchy”). When men lose the spiritual authority, blessing, and mission God gave, the whole family loses blessing, suffers, and extreme feminism emerges. This is the responsibility of men - husbands and fathers.
- It says, “Do not provoke your children to anger.”
This is what all parents must not do, and in the extreme case, must repent for. Anger in the home spills into the world. “To provoke” means “to anger,” “to discourage,” “to drive to despair.”
1) In early childhood, it stems mainly from failing to meet the needs of children.
① A child (0–5 years) throwing tantrums or crying is expressing a need. Basic needs include mother’s love and milk, father’s comfort and protection, changing diapers, etc.
② In early school age (6–10), they want more time with parents (play, trips, camps). Favoritism is deadly. Peer relationships also become important. With parental help, they develop social skills when they meet challenges with friends.
1) In adolescence, it stems from lack of emotional connection and understanding.
① Adolescence is a stage of preparing for adulthood. With physical and emotional changes, they desire independence and self-reliance. Mood swings, loneliness, and depression are common during this emotional “shadow” stage.
② If their thoughts and opinions are ignored or dismissed, they feel disrespected and get angry. Problems arise when parents impose too much, criticize inconsistently, compare them to others, or make them overly dependent.
③ When parents cannot be a role model. Children also get angry when they see parents constantly angry, fighting, or modeling unbelief.
3) Lifelong issues occur when children don’t receive spiritual blessings or connection from parents.
① Without spiritual blessings passed down, children suffer spiritual problems later in life. They feel constantly oppressed (Acts 10:38), face blocked paths, and nothing works out. They struggle with depression, panic disorder, personality or mental issues.
② When they receive covenant and spiritual blessings through their parents, their lives become blessed, answered, and victorious. This is what I envied most in my youth growing up in a non-believing family. There are historical evidence of this as well (Wesley’s parents, Jonathan Edwards’ descendants, the prayers of General MacArthur’s mother, Rockefeller’s mother).
- It says, therefore, parents must raise children in the “discipline and instruction of the Lord.”
1) The Greek word for “Lord’s discipline” means to counsel, bless, and comfort through the Word.
① The world is increasingly hopeless and lost. That’s why God sendt us the Christ, and gave us the gospel Word. Only the Word of God in Christ is the eternal answer, the door, and the way (John 14:6, Romans 10:17).
② Parents must help children find life’s answers in this Christ and the word (John 19:30). We need to help them find direction through the Word (Psalm 119:105, Proverbs 22:6). Help them gain wisdom through the Word (Psalm 119:98–100). Help them find strength and comfort in crisis (Psalm 107:20) and challenge toward their future (John 15:7). Parents must first have the Word they hold onto as a covenant. Meditation is key. And you can share that Word (forum).
2) The word “instruction” also means “discipline,” “training,” and “setting an example through life.”
① Discipline and training are important. We must teach our children what they need to learn to change through the Word (2 Tim. 3:16–17). Children must not take lightly their parents’ discipline. It is God’s blessing for you.
② Parents must remember that their emotions, words, behavior, and choices have absolute impact on the next generation and train themselves. Children learn not just by words, but by watching their parents. They do as they see. They serve as they saw their parents serve. They yield as they saw their parents yield. They forgive as they saw forgiveness. They bless others as they saw blessings. They treat others as they see their parents treat others. That is why children are said to be a mirror of their parents. Continue listening to messages, reading books, attending seminars, and self-training (1 Timothy 4:15–16).
3) Most importantly, support them in prayer.
① Though we are lacking, we wait for the Holy Spirit to work in our lives, our children’s lives, and all future generations. This is the power of the throne, transcending time and space, the unprecedented and unstoppable power of light that breaks darkness.
② Examine how much you are praying for the church’s remnants (spiritual next generation). Especially, please pray for Remnant University. It will be a school to raise future leaders and pastors for our descendants.
Conclusion - God has entrusted every parent with their children. He has entrusted church leaders with the next generation of the church. He has entrusted every believer with the young children in the field. According to Psalm 127:3, may they become your eternal blessing, inheritance, and crown.

Obey and Honor Your Parents (Ephesians 6:1–3) 5/18/2025
“Obey and honor your parents” is not a simple duty. It is a blessing that God’s saved children must surely enjoy.
The fundamental reason is that it is the channel through which we receive God's blessings. The Ten Commandments given by God can be categorized into three sections. Most important one is love (Matthew 5:17, Romans 13:8–10). The first is to love God (Commandments 1–4). The second is to love your parents (5th Commandment). The third is to love your neighbor (Commandments 6–10). It is noteworthy that love for parents is emphasized before love for others, and a special promise of blessing is given to those who honor their parents. As verse 3 emphasizes, God promised the blessing , “that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth” (Exodus 20:12, Deuteronomy 5:16).
- There is a hidden, true reason why God emphasized honoring parents.
It is to uphold the order of creation. the beautiful structure God established in the world (Creation Order). Why is the world suffering? It’s because this order of Creation was broken after the Fall in Genesis 3.
1) Honoring parents is the foundation of establishing family order.
① God established parents as life-givers, nurturers of that life, and spiritual priests of the family that blesses life. All people receive life through their parents, and grow within their love, comfort, support, and prepare for their future. This is how people learn to create a character and life that respects and obeys others in the world.
② Children who don’t receive this love and support from parents cannot grow up normally. They live feeling unloved, battling lifelong loneliness and low self-esteem. Lack of parental protection and comfort leads to lifelong anxiety and aggressive tendencies.
③ In extreme cases, this leads to isolation, hostility, and destructive behaviors. People may crumble due to depression, panic disorders, violence, and addiction. These issues break down not just individuals but entire communities.
2) Honoring parents is the foundation of spiritual order in serving God.
① From the moment re receive salvation, we serve God, receive His answers, blessings, and victory. But how do we develop a heart that obeys an invisible God? While it's a grace of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 4:6), it is rooted in the life of honoring our physical parents.
② There are Biblical examples of those who enjoyed this blessing. Isaac received a 100-fold blessing, the blessing of the source of springs, and the Rehoboth blessing. His obedience on Mount Moriah was a foreshadow of Christ’s obedience to the Father even unto death (Philippians 2:8). When God rebuked disobedient Israel, He referenced the obedience of the Rechabites (Jeremiah 35:1–19).
3) Honoring parents is the foundation for obedience to all God-given authorities.
① Within that, there are leaders in various communities established to govern and help us. Teachers, national leaders (Romans 13:1–3), church officers and pastors (1 Timothy 5:17, Galatians 6:6). It says that in the last days, people will reject all authority, including parents, leading to deeper suffering (2 Timothy 3).
② When we obey to God's established order, the community is revived, and darkness is broken. The spirit working among disobedient people (Satan) will be destroyed (Ephesians 2:2). With that evidence, we can serve in world evangelism.
- How should we serve our parents? The Bible teaches three things.
1) It says to “obey your parents in the Lord” (1).
① The Greek word for “obey” means “to listen attentively” and “to follow well.” True obedience starts with carefully listening to parents and spiritual leaders. The result of that is obedience in following through. Many regret ignoring their parents' words later in life.
② “In the Lord” means to consider God’s will in everything they say. Then we can see what we must obey. This is why Christians follow the message from the pulpit. They hear God's will in it, and that leads to wellness in everything.
2) It says to “honor your father and mother” (2).
① to “honor” means to cherish and to revere. When David introduced himself to King Saul, he said, “I am the son of your servant Jesse of Bethlehem” (1 Samuel 17:58). What family line was Jesse from, and whose grandson was he? Jesse descended from Rahab, a prostitute, and Ruth, a Moabite woman.
② David was not ashamed of his lineage. He proudly held onto the gospel they chose, and honored them with gratitude and reverence. All you need is to be grateful for the gospel your parents embraced, and because of that you are within the covenant and the blessing of a remnant.
3) It says to support your parents (Mark 7:11–13). God taught children to support their aging, poor parents, but people found excuses not to. They claimed that the money was “Corban” (devoted to God). Jesus rebuked this misuse of “Corban” to avoid supporting parents.
- This is an answer for those who carry wounds from their parents.
1) Have compassion for one another (Ephesians 4:32). No parent is perfect. Since the Fall (Genesis 3), all humans have failed and are broken (Romans 5:12). Our parents likely also suffered wounds passed down through their own parents (generational curse). Jesus died and rose to set us free so that we no longer have to live in this bondage (Romans 8:1–2).
2) Break down the darkness that seeks to destroy you through wounds from parents. Ask yourself the question, who made the most precious relationship become one of wounds and pain? It may have to do with human ignorance and greed. However, the Bible tells us that behind it all is spiritual darkness (John 8:44, Acts 10:38). Christ came as the Son of God to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8).
3) Wait upon the masterpiece that God is crafting through our pain. This is God’s conclusion. Joshua and Caleb grew up witnessing the failures of Moses’ generation, but later they became masterpieces of God. Along with leaders raised for the future, they conquered Canaan and passed the gospel down to us. God will make it into a testimony that can save others like you. There are so many people in the world in need of your testimony.
Conclusion - “Obey and honor your parents,” let it be said again. It is not a duty, but the foundation of all blessings to be enjoyed on this earth.

The Family Within the Covenant of Grace (Genesis 6:4–10) 5/11/2025
In the U.S., the second Sunday of May is celebrated as Mother's Day. In Korea, May 5th is Children's Day, and May 8th is Parent's Day. Because of this, the month of May is often referred to as “Family Month.” In such a season, it is important for us to reflect on the meaning of the family that God has given and to pray that our families may be the kind that God blesses and uses.
What is a family? It is through family that people receive life and grow. Through family, we receive comfort and strength. It is within the family that we nurture dreams and prepare for the future. Family is the foundation through which we learn to live in dedication to our community (neighbors, workplace, church, society, nation, and the world). The problem is that family has now become the starting point of endless pain and misfortune in the world.
The origin of these troubled families begins with Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve, who formed the first family by God’s permission, failed, and that failure continues to this day. One of the worst failures following Adam and Eve was the family structure of the Nephilim era.
The word “Nephilim” means “giants” or “heroes.” In worldly terms, they were glamorous, famous, and successful people. The problem lies in the spiritual meaning of the word. Derived from the Hebrew word naphal, it means “those who have fallen from above.” The Bible refers to them as “Satan and the spirits of demons who follow him” (Revelation 12:9). Satan, who tempted Adam and Eve to fall, made his masterpiece during the Nephilim era.
God was no longer present in their lives. Without God, they married as they pleased and lived by their desires. The result was utter corruption. Satan, the spirit of darkness and corruption, overtook the earth.
That was when God brought His first judgment of the flood (5). In our time, a second judgment is being warned (Matthew 24:38–39).
- What kind of preparation should we make, and how can we build families that are used by God? The answer lies in verse 8: “But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.”
1) We are people who live in this age under God’s grace. Though we are weak and unworthy, we were chosen by grace (Ephesians 1:5–6). We were forgiven and made righteous through grace (Ephesians 1:7), saved by faith in this grace (Ephesians 2:8), and even called to be workers through this gift of grace (Ephesians 3:7). All our devotion is the result of God’s grace (1 Corinthians 15:10). This is why we can stake our lives on the gospel of grace (Acts 20:24).
2) Grace is a gift given without condition. So all glory and thanks must be returned to God. The reason people who started with grace end up crumbliing later is this. They unknowingly fall into pride (James 4:6).
- The Ark was the work created through Noah and his family under grace. This ark was the covenant God made with Noah (Verse18), known as the “covenant of grace” (gospel). Even if I alone hold onto, enjoy, and live as a witness of this covenant of grace like Noah, such a family will be formed, and God will create such masterpieces through our families and descendants.
1) Become the one who holds firmly to the covenant of grace. There are two core truths within this covenant.
① God’s absolute love revealed through Christ (Romans 5:8). This is known as agape love (1 Corinthians 13:7). Why are families, churches, and the world so difficult? Why do conflict, strife, and war persist endlessly? It is because people have lost and forgotten this absolute love of God (testimony by the producer of the animated film King of Kings).
② God’s absolute salvation revealed through Christ (John 3:16). God does not desire for anyone to perish or to be condemned. That is why He sent His Son as the Christ. Through His death, Christ became our eternal redeemer (Hebrews 9:12) and eternal mediator (Hebrews 9:15). This is why God instructed Noah to build the ark. It was so that anyone could enter and be saved. Live to save yourself, your family, and anyone else through this covenant. There is a way to do so.
2) Become the one who enjoys the covenant of grace. The secret to enjoying it is prayer.
① When we pray, the Holy Spirit works. We need that strength to truly enjoy the covenant of grace. To “enjoy” means to be filled with joy, peace, and thanksgiving because of the covenant. That is the work of the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17). There is nothing in the world but discouragement, anger, and despair. That’s why we must hold onto the word of the covenant and pray.
② Only through prayer are God’s masterpieces created (John 14:12–14). This is called absolute answer. How much do you think Noah prayed while building the ark? When do you think God gave him the wisdom, strength, and precise plans to build it? When we look to Christ 24 hours and pray with our eyes on the throne, even our smallest efforts will become masterpieces.
③ Create a flow of prayer in your family. Children live through the prayers of their parents. Do everything through prayer. When problems come, train the whole family to respond through concentrated prayer.
3) Become one who lives as a witness of this covenant of grace. This is the secret of evangelism and missions.
① The Bible calls Noah an evangelist of in his age (2 Peter 2:5). He did not simply declare judgment. He proclaimed the only way of salvation, the secret of the ark. The ark represents the mystery of Christ. Through the ark, Noah saved himself, his family, and the world. From this came absolute evangelism and absolute missions. Noah carried out the only evangelism and missions of his time (Hebrews 11:7).
② In this time when deep darkness covers the earth and endless corruption and disaster abound, there is only one thing for us to do. Find those who need to receive the true gospel to gain life (Acts 13:48). The Bible says the end will come (Matthew 24:14). There are so many around us who have never once heard this gospel of grace, this covenant of grace. We should not only participate in church evangelism camps but also make every part of our lives an opportunity for evangelism. That is a true camp.
③ Let your family be used in praying for, giving toward, and devoting to save a nation (prayer gatherings for each of the six continents). This is also why we continue going on short-term mission trips. The economy of light, of missions, and of the future will surely be restored. Especially pray that your children may use their expertise for the sake of world evangelization.
Conclusion- God has chosen each of us by grace, saved us by grace, and called us by grace to serve Him in this age like Noah. Now, build your life and family centered on this covenant of grace. May everything in our lives - our personal journeys, our families, our children, and all we do - become eternal masterpieces made by that grace.

Witnesses Inside the Gospel of Resurrection (Mark 16:14-20) 4/20/2025
The history of Christ is the center of all human history. World history is divided into B.C. (Before Christ) and A.D. (Anno Domini) because statistical evidence shows that Christ had the greatest impact on humanity.
- Fundamentally, the resurrection contains three premises.
1) It is evidence that Christ is the only one who can save human beings.
① Only the Creator has the power to come back to life from death. Since the first man Adam, only the Creator can resurrect from sin, curse, and judgment.
② By resurrecting, He showed the evidence that He is the Son of God (Romans 1:4), and God Himself (Colossians 1:15–16). No one else in history has died and risen for us — only Christ. Thus, He alone, as the one who is sinless, could redeem us and become the unique way to salvation.
2) Resurrection is the blessing that came through Christ's atoning death.
① Without His death for our sins and curses, there would have been no resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:17). When Satan plotted to kill Christ on the cross, he could never have imagined the resurrection would follow.
② Even when evil was used for evil purposes, it opened the way for all people to be set free from sin and curse. This is why even when we endure Satan’s attacks or unjust suffering, the blessing that God prepared lies ahead.
3) God had promised this through the Old Testament long ago.
① Through countless events, He led people to hold onto the covenant of resurrection, which Christ ultimately fulfilled (Job 19:25–26, Psalm 16:8–11, Matthew 12:38–41, Ezekiel 37:1–10). The resurrection didn’t happen by chance. It was the fulfillment of the covenant God prepared before time. That’s why we live today holding onto God’s covenant.
② When the disciples lost hold of this covenant, they denied Christ in the face of suffering and fled in fear. In verse 14, even after the resurrected Jesus appeared to them, He rebuked their unbelief.
- Through this resurrection, three transformations came to us (what we now have).
1) A new life (new identity) given by the resurrected One (Romans 6:4). Our old selves died with Christ and we were resurrected anew with Him. Precisely speaking, the resurrected and living Christ is now within us through the Spirit (1 John 5:11–12). This is the original life God intended in creation (Genesis 1:27–28, 2:7).
2) A new status He gives by being with us (Ephesians 2:16–19). We are no longer enemies of God. We are now His children, household, people, and workers He will use for His purpose. This is where we must restore our highest dignity, pride, and confidence to not be deceived (scars, reality, relationships, world). With this identity, we become happier and more fulfilled than anyone (Romans 8:17 "heirs").
3) Power and authority that come from this identity (1 Peter 2:9). We are the chosen people. This is the authority of the ones selected for God's eternal plan (John 14:12–14). A royal priesthood is the authority to overcome the enemy (power of king) and save and bless others (priest). A holy nation is the authority to enjoy God’s kingdom and heavenly background on earth (Luke 17:21, Matthew 12:28, Romans 14:17). There’s no need for fear or despair. Use this resurrection power and authority to battle death and darkness (1 Corinthians 15:55–57).
- To be used in this way, we must hold onto and enjoy three blessings.
1) Since we have gained a new life, we must grow and be healed spiritually (Ephesians 4:13–14, 4:22–24). The way to grow is through God’s Word, worship, and church life.
① The Word is like spiritual food (1 Corinthians 3:1–2). What you hear and meditate on changes the imprints your brain.
② Worship is a time of standing before the God of the heavenly throne, and it's where we can tangibly experience those blessings of the throne. Being in the flow of worship, every praise, prayer, and offering builds up before the throne.
③ Church life is where we enjoy the blessings of a spiritual family. God did not only give us physical family. This is where loneliness, pain, and weakness are healed and strength to overcome the world is gained (Ephesians 4:31–32). If this blessing isn’t enjoyed at home, we are prone to fall out in the world (the fall of posterity begins at home).
2) With this strength, we go out into the world to save it (evangelism and missions). The resurrected Lord commanded us to preach the gospel to all people (16). With what power?
① Power of having faith in the resurrected Christ. "These signs will accompany those who believe" (17–18). “In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” He works upon our faith in the living Christ that is in us.
② Faith in the fact that He ascended and now sits on the throne (19–20). It means He is the one that rules, judges, and gives life to all creation and humanity. When we believe in this and fix our eyes on Him, we see works that transcend time and space and the power of light and the Holy Spirit.
③ At that time, even the dead will rise, and the broken and defeated will be restored (works of re-creation). Though we are weak and lacking, God recreates us with the power of resurrection (Moses, David, Peter, Paul).
3) This resurrection will come to us as eternal resurrection. He rose first to show that resurrection is real.
① Resurrection will come to all people. Death is not the end. Some will be resurrected for judgment, and others for eternal life (John 5:29). This truth hits hardest when facing death.
② Our bodies will be transformed into glorious spiritual bodies. In the new heaven and new earth, eternal life will continue. Without this future, life becomes meaningless and pitiful. Those bodies will have no tears, pain, or disease, and they will transcend time and space and have authority over creation. At that time, God's people will reign with Christ in the new heaven and earth (Revelation 22:5).
Conclusion - Resurrection is a new beginning, the power of re-creation, and power of victory. God has given us this gospel of resurrection. With it, may you overcome the forces of darkness attacking you, your family, descendants, and church, and stand as eternal witnesses of the resurrection.

The Covenant to Hold on to on Palm Sunday (Zechariah 9:9–12) 4/13/2025
This week is Passion Week, when we remember the suffering and death of Christ for us. The first day of Passion Week (Sunday) is called Palm Sunday, because it commemorates Christ entering Jerusalem riding on a young donkey while the disciples and people laid their clothes on the ground and waved palm branches in joy.
Why did He do this? It wasn’t simply to teach us to live humbly. There are three covenant of blessing that God gives. These blessings were promised through the prophet Zechariah hundreds of years before Jesus came, and were ultimately fulfilled when He arrived. When was this covenant given? It was during Israel's darkest time when they had sinned, were taken into captivity, and were in suffering and despair. God was saying don’t live bound to that despair. Hold on to this covenant and seek what God truly desires.
- The covenant of salvation through Christ who comes to save our lives (Vs.9).
God desires for all people to be saved. That is His heart, His love, and His wish (John 3:16, 1 Timothy 2:4). This is the blessing we should be most grateful and joyful for. To enjoy this deeply, we must firmly hold onto three truths:
1) God is righteous.
In other words, God is holy and just. Therefore, he must judge the sins of the world and of human lives.
① This is why all people, starting from Adam and Eve’s fall, are under sin, death, and judgment (Romans 5:12). No one can escape God’s judgment. The only difference is whether we are more or less evil.
② God gave the Law in the Bible to reveal human sinfulness (Rom 3:20). It is because we do not admit how evil a life can be. Nothing can be hidden from God (Luke 12:2).
③ If you’ve been wronged, know that the righteous Judge will bring justice (Psalm 7:11, Proverbs 20:22). But when God judges with His righteousness, no one can stand before Him.
2) God gives salvation. This is God’s love. The suffering of the cross is where God's righteousness and love both appeared.
① Jesus, who had no sin, suffered judgment and death according to God’s standard of justice. We weren’t just forgiven or made God’s children and people of blessings. The Son of God bore the curse we deserved (redemption), and we were freed (Romans 8:1–2).
② This was unconditional love. Absolute love revealed through Christ (Romans 5:8), and absolute
grace (Ephesians 2:8-9). Admit your sinfulness, humbly come before God, and hold onto Christ (Isaiah 43:25). Have you fallen again? Truly repent before God, hold onto grace again, don’t give up, and rise again.
3) For that, He humbled Himself. This is God's way of saving us.
① Passion Week shows us how He humbled Himself to give us salvation. The glorious God took on human flesh and came down to earth. This was the beginning of His humility (Philippians 2:7). He endured all shame and pain that humans face and obeyed to the point of death on a cross (Philippians 2:8). He rode a donkey to show this. The people who grasped the covenant cried out "Hosanna!" (“Save us!”).
② Through that shame and pain, He ended original sin, generational curses, and eternal curse of hell (John 19:30). He also ended our spiritual problems, heartache, pain, and even physical suffering and disease (Isaiah 53:5).
- Through us who have received this salvation, there is something that God desires to do. This is the second covenant to hold onto (Vs.10)
1) God will break the war chariots and bows and open an age of peace.
① This was the second thing Christ did (Isaiah 9:6). Replace division, conflict, and war with peace. He became the peace offering. First, peace with God, then opened a way to peace among people (Ephesians 2:14).
② He also abolished the curse of the law that condemned sin, making peace for everyone in Him (Ephesians 2:15). If we can’t enjoy this peace, we will live constantly arguing and fighting, in the family, workplace, and church.
2) What does God want to do through us who have this peace? (Vs.10)
① To spread this peace to all nations (evangelism and missions). Our secret to saving the 237 nations and the 5,000 people groups lies here. It is bringing life and reconciliation through the gospel.
② This is our task until the Lord returns. On that day, the reign of the Prince of Peace will extend from sea to sea and to the ends of the earth. That place is the new heaven and new earth without tears and pain, where we will reign with Him (Revelation 21:4, 22:5).
- There is a third covenant to hold onto. The covenant of the true summit that heals and revives the world. Many of today’s “summits” are full of selfish ambition and greed, bringing more suffering to the world.
1) Christ became the model of the true summit. He didn’t ride a warhorse (a symbol of power and war) but a donkey (a symbol of service and sacrifice) (Matthew 20:28). The higher your position or responsibility, the more you need to train in servant leadership. Only by meditating on God’s Word, gaining strength through prayer, and focusing to enjoy the blessing of the throne, can we truly serve others.
2) The King of kings rode on a weak, young donkey.
① This means Christ with all authority in heaven and earth dwells in our weak lives (identity of the believer). From the moment of salvation, it’s not our power but His authority and power that dwell in us (1 Peter 2:9). Go into the harsh world as you hold onto this blessing
② If we enjoy this, we can overcome anything and save anyone (true summit). Without this, even in high positions, we’ll be crushed by stress and become powerless to do anything.
Conclusion- Difficulties and suffering may continue, but what is God’s final conclusion in the covenant? Through of the blood covenant we hold onto, all prisoners will be set free, and we will recover double what was lost (Vs.11). Are you trapped in a problem? Even if you’re trapped, embrace hope and return to Him (Vs.12). Hold on to these three covenants this Palm Sunday and may this Passion Week be the beginning of true answers in your life.
The Covenant to Hold on to on Palm Sunday (Zechariah 9:9–12) 4/13/2025 April 13, 2025
Stand as Eternal Soldiers of Christ (Isaiah 62:6–11) 4/6/2025
The term “Soldier of Christ” is the final identity that believers must hold onto to protect and enjoy all the blessings of their identity. Identity is not just a formal status or position. It comes with glory and blessings to be enjoyed. From the moment of salvation, we gain many identities. Children of God (Romans 8:15–17), saints (1 Corinthians 3:16), royal priests (1 Peter 2:9), disciples of Christ (John 14:12–14)—each comes with incredible glory and blessings.
To truly enjoy the glory and blessings of all these identities, the final identity we need is that of a “Soldier of Christ.” That’s because there is an enemy trying to steal and deceive us. Without an enemy, there is no need for an army. We don’t need an army to steal from others. We need one to protect what’s ours so we can fully enjoy it.
- From the beginning, life has been attacked by the enemy. That is the event of Genesis 3.
1) The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil warned humanity, created in God’s image and blessings, that there is an enemy. “You will surely die when you eat of it” (Genesis 2:17). This was a warning that there is one who deceives to bring death. Even now, these warnings are around us. That’s why we are told to stay alert (1 Peter 5:8–9).
2) Satan doesn’t have overwhelming power.
Humans were created in God’s image, enjoyed God, and were the most honored of all (Psalm 8:4–5). Because Satan can’t overpower us, he deceives, tempts, and lies to separate us from God. After that, he also breaks human relationships (Genesis 3:10–12). He’s still doing it today. He uses tactics like fear, anxiety, anger, and despair through failures and difficult environments.
3) The Bible says Satan’s work will deepen (Isaiah 60:2), and the battle will intensify. Satan knows his time is short before eternal judgment (Revelation 12:12). The state of the world and even churches today are signs of the end times (Matthew 24, 2 Timothy 3). He targets evangelists and evangelizing churches (1 Corinthians 15:32). That’s why we are told to stand as strong soldiers. Not just to win, but to receive the eternal crown of victory that is promised to us (2 Timothy 4:7–8).
- For this spiritual victory, God sent Christ. As our eternal Priest, He bore all sin and curse (Colossians 1:13–14). As our eternal Prophet, He became our way (John 14:6). As our eternal King, He crushed the head of Satan (Genesis 3:15) and raises us to fight forces of Satan and overcome (1 Corinthians 15:55–57).
1) Christ is the captain leading this spiritual battle (Exodus 17:15–16, “Jehovah Nissi” means banner, commander). In the end times, many tribulations will come. But the captain will win the battle (Revelation 17:14).
2) Believers are soldiers of Christ following the captain, our King of kings. The Israelites who were rescued from 400 years of curses were called God’s army (Exodus 12:41). To the Israelites in despair during exile, God showed a vision of dry bones becoming a great army (Ezekiel 37:10). This is the absolute reason for remnants to rise as good soldiers of Christ who will lead the future (2 Timothy 2:3).
3) This is why we must enjoy the grace of Christ and continue three battles until we stand before God (1 Corinthians 10:11–12). We may stumble temporarily, but final victory is what matters. So we must not give up.
① Battle against self (Matthew 16:24, 1 Corinthians 15:31). Satan attacks our hidden wounds(fear, worry, unbelief, greed, pride, competition, strife). ② Battle against the world (Ephesians 2:2–3). In the world, there are endless temptations. It makes us neglect the spiritual things and chase physical and worldly pleasures. ③ Battle against Satan (Matthew 4:1–11). Recognize Satan’s works behind all greed, failure, suffering, and pain and break the forces of darkness in reality.
- To win the battle, we must build a system that enables victory (bartizan).
David built 1,000 watchtowers and stored weapons, always prepared for battle (Song of Songs 4:4, Ephesians 6:12). When we build our bartizans, God will send watchmen who never rest (Isaiah 62:6–7).
1) You must establish an imprint system that protects and revives you (7 Journeys). ① The Word of covenant must be imprinted in your system that drives your thoughts and emotions. This system (bartizan) forms as we continuously hear (Romans 10:17) and meditate on the gospel Word. ② It is important to meditate for just 10 minutes in the morning, afternoon, and evening on the message that you have organized. Deep breathing during this time revives the brain and body. Satan attacks our bodies too.
2) Build a root system that saves not just yourself, but your family, community, workplace, and church (7 Watchtowers). ① When you meditate on the Word and pray, the covenant is rooted deeply within your soul. The deeper the roots, the less we are shaken by storms. Fruits will grow to save others. ② This is where strength from above comes. Transcending time and space, power of the throne that bring unprecedented works, power of light, power of the Holy Spirit, and power to change the future. With this power, nothing will be stolen or lost. It’s the “blessing of the courtyard of the sanctuary” (blessing of saving church, 8–9).
3) Ultimately, you can challenge toward a system that transforms your nature to save the 237 nations and 5,000 people groups (7 Milestones). “Go out of the city, clear the road, raise a banner (the banner of Christ and victory) for the nations” (10).
① Our pain is not ours alone. The entire world and all nations are in suffering. Raise the banner of Christ, proclaim the covenant, and wage spiritual war for them. ② Pray and commit to mission fields, missionaries, and all nations, TCKs, CCKs, NCKs. Salvation will come to them, and God will reward us eternally (11). Build a highway within. Become a vessel who can embrace and help anyone (God is the vessel). See conflict, pain, failure, and suffering as God’s time schedule for making that vessel.
Conclusion - Those who overcome will be acknowledged as eternal children of God (Revelation 21:7). They will reign forever together in the new heaven and new earth (Revelation 22:5). May you stand as soldiers of Christ who will enjoy this eternal victory.

What a Believer Must Restore (Isaiah 61:1-7) 3/30/2025
Israel, which was first chosen, failed, fell, and was tragically taken captive by unbelievers. At this time, God recorded how He would restore Israel through the prophets. Since the fall of man in Genesis 3, God has continually promised works of restoration throughout the entire Bible. This work is ongoing. It is called salvation.
Salvation is not just about going to heaven after death. It is about being restored from a place of failure, brokenness, misery, and oppression. Why? Because God did not create human life that way from the beginning. God Himself declared, "It was very good" (Genesis 1:31), meaning that He created mankind perfectly. Yet, people today are endlessly failing, crumbling, and living unhappy lives. This is God's pain, His dignity, and the restoration of His glory. This is salvation.
- Humans cannot restore themselves. God sent His Son as the Savior.
He is called the "Christ." Verse 1 clearly explains who this Christ is and what He will do.
1) He was to come anointed by the Spirit of the Lord. He took on human flesh to understand our weakness and suffering (Phil 2:6-8 "Incarnation," "Humiliation"). He came with the authority to save humanity (authority of Priest, King, and Prophet).
① As the Priest of God, He personally died and atoned for our sins (Matthew 20:28, Colossians 1:13-14, Hebrews 9:12). ② As King of God, He destroyed the power of Satan, who rules over the fallen world and humanity (Genesis 3:15, 1John 3:8). ③ As the Prophet of God, He became the way to meet God (John 14:6) and the door to salvation (John 10:9).
2) He came to bring this blessing to the poor (good news, the gospel). Who are the "poor" here? Those who are poor in heart (Matthew 5:3). In the original text, it means "to bow one’s head." These people are those who truly receive grace. This is why sometimes, God allows a time of failure, pain, and despair.
① They are those who recognize their shame. They understand the true nature of our lives under Genesis 3 (Romans 3:10). ② Therefore, they seek God's grace and help (salvation) (Isaiah 55:6-7). ③ They testify to God's grace and help (answers, blessings) throughout their lives (Romans 1:14-15, Acts 20:24).
- There are blessings that all lives, especially saved believers, must restore in this gospel of grace.
1) Restoration of the Heart (Inner Healing) Christ came to heal the brokenhearted. Every problem, failure, suffering, and even “broken hearts” starts here. The Greek word for "heart" is "psyche", meaning life, soul, and mind. It comes from the word meaning "breath" (Genesis 2:7). These words are different but mean the same. Life, soul, and heart cannot be separated.
① Following the fall, humans became spiritually dead (Eph 2:1). Humanity became separated from God, making it impossible for His Holy Spirit to dwell within them.
② In that emptiness, Satan took a hold, leading people to unknowingly follow his ways. This is why humans worship idols (Romans 1:21-23, 1Corinthians 10:20), follow darkness, and become enslaved (Ephesians 2:2-3). Their hearts are filled with greed, leading to endless corruption and wickedness.
③ As a result, we develop scars in our hearts. From childhood, people experience continuous scars from family, school, and society. These wounds create anxiety, fear, victimization, guilt, and lead to depression, personality disorders, addiction, and mental illness.
④ This is why Christ suffered (Isaiah 53:5). He bore our sins, resolved spiritual problems, healed heartache, and even took our physical suffering. Do not fear anything, do not blame anyone, and do not deceive yourself. Hold onto Christ.
⑤ Are you experiencing problems, failures, pain, or despair? Pour out your heart to God, deepen your relationship with Him, and make it a time to focus only on Him (Psalms 62:1-8). The result is not just healing. We will become witnesses who save others and the whole world.
2) Restoration of Life (Healing of Identity) ① The day of God's grace and judgment will come (Vs2). Those who miss this grace will face judgment. Our salvation is given by grace (Ephesians 2:8-9). We are used by grace (Acts 15:10), and that is the covenant of grace.
② It says that God will transform all Israel’s sorrow, shame, and suffering (Vs 3). Instead of mourning, He will give them a crown. Instead of the shame of ashes, He will anoint them with the oil of joy. He will clothe them with praise, and they will be called those who reveal God's glory.
③ God changed our status and identity for this purpose (Vs 6). We were given the new identity of being a child of God (John 1:12, Romans 8:15-17), a source of blessings (Ephesians 1:3-5), royal priests (1Peter 2:9), and remnants who will remain forever (Romans 11:5). Those who enjoy this blessing and save the world are disciples. Stand as disciples and raise up disciples (Matthew 28:18-20).
3) Restoration of Finances (Healing of economy of light, missions, and future) People will recognize us as God's servants, and nations will bring their wealth and honor (Vs 6). They will receive a double portion and everlasting joy will be theirs(Vs 7)
① Fight spiritually to restore the economy that darkness has stolen (economy of light). Break the forces of darkness in your field. Do not love money or be controlled by it (1Timothy 6:10). Be honest. Do not earn money through wickedness or envy those who indulge in luxury and extravagance (James 5:1-4).
② Dedicate yourself to evangelism and missions for the 237 nations and 5,000 tribes (economy of misisons). Individuals, churches, and nations that devote themselves to evangelism and missions receive financial blessings (Matthew 6:33). Give with God's heart to save the world, and He will abundantly provide (Luke 6:38, Acts 20:35). Start with one person or one nation (someone near you, the abandoned, or in the mission field).
③ Invest in the eternal future (economy of future). It says to store up treasures in heaven (Matthew 6:19-20). Every offering, dedication, and labor will be an eternal inheritance (Galatians 6:7-8). Sacrificing for the next generation is preparing God's future. That is the future economy.
Conclusion – May you hold onto the gospel of grace that restores all things, and receive the answers of heart restoration, life restoration, and economic restoration.

Missions that Complete the Eternal Covenant (Isaiah 55:1-9) 3/23/25
The books of the prophets contain both God's rebuke and His comfort and hope for the Israelites, who lost everything and were taken into captivity. Among them, the Book of Isaiah contains the most extensive and profound promises about how God will send His Son as the Christ to save, heal, comfort, and restore all blessings in human life (the Gospel of the Old Testament). God declared that this promise would become an “eternal covenant” (verse 3). The foundation of this covenant is grace (the covenant of grace). As we live in this world, we encounter many problems, sufferings, and failures. We must resolve everything within this eternal covenant. The beginning of this eternal covenant is the Gospel (God’s answer), and the conclusion of this covenant is missions (God-given purpose for life). No matter what problems, suffering, or despair may come, we must hold onto these two truths (God’s answer and God’s conclusion).
In verses 1-2, God says, "Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters." Here, "those who are thirsty" represent people who suffer continuously due to life’s problems. "Water" refers to the answer that God gives, which is Christ (John 3:5, 4:14; 1 Corinthians 10:4).
The passage describes three types of foolish people. First, those who are dying of thirst but do not come to the water. This represents unbelievers who refuse to accept Christ despite their desperate need. Why will unbelievers face judgment? Because they reject Christ, who has already provided atonement for sins (Hebrews 9:12). They probably have their reasons. Second, those who think they have to buy the water with money. They fail to understand that grace is a free gift (Ephesians 2:8) and, therefore, do not recognize its value. Third, those who pour their entire lives into vain pursuits that are neither water nor sustenance. They waste their lives chasing meaningless things and die without ever finding the answer. What follows after such a life? (Hebrews 9:27).
Verses 3-4 reveal another eternal covenant that God gives to those saved by Christ. God uses David as a model. "I have made him a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander of the peoples." Just as God used David in this way, He intends to use us in the same manner. This is the covenant of missions.
1. This is the conclusion of all the grace, answer, and blessings we have received and will continue to receive.
1) Three blessings (verse 4).
① What does it mean to be made witnesses to all nations? God will grant evidence of blessings that all people can see, so that we may save all nations. This is the capacity of our blessings and vision that all believers and remnants must embrace. Even when taken as captives, God will bless them this way.
② He will make us leaders of all peoples. Leaders are those who know the way, guide the way, and lead the way. This is possible because we know the way. Christ has become the way for our salvation (John 14:6), and our eternal way. Those in Christ see the way. They can discern God’s future even in the midst of problems (spirituality and spiritual eyes).
③ He will make us commanders of all nations. Commanders are used to fight against the enemy. Who is leading unbelievers into fate, suffering, failure, and curses? What is evangelism and missions? It is delivering people from this fate and breaking the power of idols and darkness. God will use us as people who have this strength. Those who possess this power should rise as leaders and summits to bring blessings to the world.
2) This was the original blessing given to Adam and Eve. Humanity lost this blessing in Genesis 3. As a result, all people fell under the power of sin and death (Romans 5:12). However, Christ came to restore this blessing (Romans 4:19). As the true Priest, He set us free, as the true King, He destroyed the devil’s works, and as the true Prophet, He became the way to God and remains with us.
3) God will raise us as witnesses of these three blessings (1 Peter 2:9). "Surely you will summon nations you know not, and nations that do not know you will come running to you" (verse 6). ① God called Abraham, who lived in an idolatrous family, and promised and fulfilled this blessing (Genesis 12:3). For that God sent him to Canaan, and this is why He said, "You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out. You will be the head and not the tail." ② Because Israel lost hold of the reason to enjoy this blessing, they ended up being used as captives, slaves, colonies, and wandering people. May we all enjoy this blessing daily and receive it without going through suffering and failure (Galatians 3:14, 29).
2. This is the conclusion of all the problems, pains, and failures that we face.
1) God gave this same answer to Moses, who had become a murderer and a failure. "I have heard the cry of my people." (Exodus 3:8-12) Why did God appear at that moment? It was the moment Moses understood God’s pain through his own suffering. And then, God sent him back to Egypt.
2) Peter denied Jesus three times, but Jesus’ conclusion for him was this.
"When you have turned back, strengthen your brothers" (Luke 22:32). "Feed My lambs" (John 21:15-17).
3) David, in his loneliest and most desperate moment, confessed.
"I will praise You among the nations, O Lord." (Psalm 57:9-11)
How is this possible? By meeting God deeply.
① That is why it says, “Seek the Lord while He may be found; call on Him while He is near" (6). Our pain and despair can be the time when we meet God most deeply. God does not give up.
② Even those who have done evil and injustice are told to return to God (7). He will have compassion and forgive abundantly. Those who experience this grace live differently. Paul called himself "the worst of sinners" (1 Timothy 1:13). He confessed that everything in his life was by God’s grace (1 Corinthians 15:10).
3. This is also the eternal conclusion that God desires.
Even though Israel was taken into captivity, God used them as a lasting sign and memorial (13).
1) Evangelism and missions are about restoring saving the unbelievers, failures, and those in suffering to restore the lost glory and image of God. This is the conclusion of missions. When this mission is fulfilled, the end of the world will come, and Christ will return (Matthew 24:14).
2) Then, a new heaven and a new earth will begin. This is the ultimate conclusion of Isaiah (Isaiah 66:22). "Your descendants and your name will endure forever." This will be the greatest reward we enjoy in heaven. The souls we saved and healed and discipled will become our eternal reward and crown (Daniel 12:3).
