A Leader as a Spiritual Commander (Isaiah 55:3-5) 11/7/2021

The Field of Answers of 1st 2nd 3rd RUTC:

                                              A Leader as a Spiritual Commander (Isaiah 55:3-5)               11/7/2021

God gave an unbelievable (unrealistic) covenant when the nation of Israel had perished and became captives. God said He would do the same works through them just as He had raised David, a shepherd, as a witness, leader, and spiritual commander who saved all nations. It said that this blessing was given by grace (verse 3). Live your whole life by God’s grace. Our salvation was by grace (Ephesians 2:8-9). Regardless of how corrupted the world may be and whatever judgment may come, all we need is to be people in God’s grace. That was Noah (Genesis 6:8). An individual was used in the works that pleased God despite having been a person who brought difficulty to Christ and the church. That was Paul (1 Corinthians 15:10). Be someone who studies by grace, works, does business, and enjoys answers and blessings by grace. These individuals were used as the witness before the world, leaders who lead the world, and commanders who protect and save the world in each age.

  1. Why was the title ‘commander’ used?

A commander is a leader who leads the war. It means that our life is a war (spiritual warfare).

1) The Bible compared the people of God to an army at least three times.

God said this when He brought His people out from being slaves, captives, and colonized. Refer to Wednesday’s service for the three reasons God’s people had no choice but to become slaves, captives, and colonized.

The time when God’s people were enslaved to Egypt and were brought out by spreading the blood of the Passover.

On the day they came out of Egypt by spreading the blood of the Passover, they were called the “hosts (army) of the Lord” (Exodus 12:41).   The people of God were the Lord’s army from the beginning. They were trampled by Satan and enslaved when they lost hold of this blessing.

The blessing that God gave while giving the Word to the Israelites when they were captives of Babylon.

It said that when the dry bones in the valley heard the Word, they arose as an “exceedingly great army.” If we live oblivious to the spiritual enemy, we will live as slaves to the Devil and world regardless of living with much effort and zeal.

The important blessing that was given through evangelist Paul when Rome colonized Israel.

He told Timothy, his beloved son and coworker, to be “good soldiers of Christ” who were ready for suffering (2 Timothy 2:3).

2) When did this spiritual warfare begin?

It started from the time of Adam. Satan was always a being who led life into failure (John 8:44).

He “came to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8). He came to “heal all who were oppressed by the devil” (Acts 10:38).

The moment we accepted Christ and became children of God, we became an army that possesses the authority to fight against this devil (Luke 10:19).

Jesus drove these demons out, healed people, and urged the disciples to experience this blessing (Mark 3:15, Mark 16:17).

  1. Now, live a life of a leader that is like a spiritual commander.

The world is indeed a spiritual battlefield. The book of Revelation records what kind of spiritual warfare will continue in the final days.

1) I myself need to become a good soldier of Christ (2 Timothy 2:3).

We have already been called soldiers, but it is up to the individual to be a good or lousy soldier (Ephesians 6:10-18).

We must build power that can fight and win (Ephesians 6:10).

It is not my power. It is not physical power nor power that comes from money and authority. It is a power that Christ gives . It is the filling of the Holy Spirit. A person is bound to constantly be attacked, robbed, and oppressed if the individual does not have this power.

We must know Satan’s strategy. He will deceive you with your scar, environment, reality, interpersonal relationships, and health (Ephesians 6:11).

Therefore, train the five deep things daily (deep meditation, prayer, breathing, food, and exercise).

It tells us always to be ready and prepared to fight (verses 12-18).

Go with the five assurances (whole armor): the helmet of Christ (assurance of salvation), the breastplate of righteousness (assurance of the forgiveness of sins), the belt of truth (assurance of guidance), shield of faith (assurance of victory), and shoes of the gospel (assurance of answers). It says to hold onto the sword of the Holy Spirit, the Word, in this assurance and pray continuously in the Holy Spirit and bind the forces of darkness (24 prayer),

2) We must make the life of a spiritual commander in the field.

The one person, me, is important. That is the leader’s mindset.

Thoughts such as “I can’t do it,” “oh, it’s just me,” “someone else will do it” are not ordinary thoughts. It is a failure’s and straggler’s mindset.

It is the prayer and devotion of faith that comes from this. That is the devotion and prayer of a watchman (prayers of American war heroes).

It said that none of our prayers and devotions will fall to the ground. It goes up to the heavenly throne (Revelations 12:8). If it is a work that is done while holding onto the covenant, then God will move angels and help no matter how small and difficult the work may be (Psalms 103:1721).

A commander is someone who leads a team.

Pray for this blessing of a team in the family, workplace, church, and region (Matthew 18:19-20).

  1. This week is Veteran’s week in America. May it be a week of praying for America’s military missions for us.

1) Pray so that the U.S. military, the most powerful in the world, can be used for world peace (2 Timothy 2:2).

If Satan works upon the leaders, wars will have to arise continuously, and people will suffer. If wars prolong, all young people will have to be drafted.

2) Pray for the evangelism and disciple movements to continuously arise through the military missionaries and regional churches.

Pray that soldiers and military personnel with many scars and conflicts may receive the gospel, be healed and revived. The remnants who have the gospel must do this. The 237 missions’ movement must realistically take place through the American military commissioned across the globe.

3) We must pray for a chaplain who will relay the gospel to come forth in the U.S. military.

I have been told that if there are no chaplains, Muslim Imams become military chaplains. There may be a day where Satan worshipers become chaplains.

Conclusion – We live amidst spiritual warfare. We are people who fight with Christ, are victorious, and will save others (Revelations 17:14, 21:7). We are soldiers of Christ and spiritual commanders. Christ on the throne will root for our spiritual war (Acts 7:56).
