God’s Kingdom in the Wilderness (Exodus 40:34-38)                              8/23/2020

 

 

Today’s passage records how God guided and blessed the Israelites along their journey in the desert. He had the Israelites set up tabernacles to meet them there, lead them, and govern them. This tabernacle signifies Christ, the church, and the blessing of God’s Kingdom.

 

When we think about our future and the future that our posterity will have to face, we may feel frustrated and morose. Many specialists and economists are predicting a tremendous aftermath of Covid-19. The Earth is burning up due to environmental pollution. On top of natural disasters, all kinds of food are becoming contaminated and sick. Depression, addiction, and mental illnesses will surge. The aftermath of the 3rd (IT, digital age) and 4th (artificial intelligence) industrial revolution will be great. Like Timothy 3, people will become selfish, lose all dignity, and step into an age where we do not need humans.

There is an even more pressing matter. It is the fact that the 3 organizations are controlling the 3rd and 4th industrial revolutions. How did this become possible? The people of the 3 organizations have a different kind of power. They are practicing possession for a deeper power (Genesis 6’s Nephilim). Then they looked ahead, prepared ahead, and conquered ahead. These people are the leaders (people who are ahead) and the summits of this world. They are also leading the movement for unification of all religions. They plow into the church and block people from knowing Christ (2 Corinthians 4:4). One sure thing is that there are people that God had prepared for such times. They are the “remaining ones (Isaiah 6:13),” “hidden ones (Romans 11:4-5),” and “scattered ones (Acts 11:19).” We call them “remnants”.” God has called us to be those individuals.

What we must do is enjoy the absolute covenant of God that He gave to us – the remaining ones, hidden ones, and scattered ones of this age. Christ has undoubtedly finished all problems and is now residing within us. He will change all things into evidence by the power of the Holy Spirit to use us as His witnesses. The state in which we can realistically experience that is the kingdom of God. He is guiding us, protecting us, and blessing us to use us as the ones who will let God’s kingdom come upon this world once again. We must enjoy this blessing of God’s kingdom in this time of wilderness and problems. Three blessings will take place.

 

  1. Enjoy the kingdom of God within you by leading a life centered on the tabernacle.

In verses 34 and 35, it says that the “glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.” This is the kingdom of God we must enjoy first. “Life centered on the tabernacle” signifies a life that enjoys a relationship with God in all problems and circumstances through prayer.

1) From the moment you received salvation, you had become the tabernacle and the temple (1 Corinthians 3:16). For Adam, who sinned and was separated from God, and everyone thereafter, Christ died for all the sins (Romans 8:1-2) and became the way to meet God (John 14:6). Even now, Christ finished the work of the devil who drive us away from God into failure (1 John 3:8). This Christ is within me through the Holy Spirit and will guide me for eternity (John 14:16).

2) The state in which we are governed by God who is within us and enjoy his presence is prayer.

In Ephesians 3:16-20 says, “ I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through

his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” The reason we get scarred and fall into trials is because we have not experienced this.

3) Make these trying times into an opportunity to deeply train the 5 prayers (worship, scheduled, continuous, special, and 24 prayer). Be sure to enjoy the 5 blessings that come from these prayers (thanksgiving, flow of the word, power of concentration, healing, and future).

  1. As you enjoy God’s kingdom, you will experience what God has prepared. That is God’s CVDIP.

Before remnants go into the world, whenever you face all problems and circumstances, and before you do important things, you must experience this.

1) Covenant – It is the gospel. Christ has absolutely finished all problems and crushed Satan’s head.

Everything becomes an answer. Realize the problem, realize the gospel, then go into the gospel. If someone has wronged you, they were deceived by Satan because they did not have the gospel. From then on, you will see the prepared blessings within God’s absolute sovereignty (Jeremiah 33:3).

2) Vision – When you begin to have faith in looking ahead, you will receive assurance and strength. Then, the absolute plan of God that will be fulfilled will form inside your heart. That is called possessing in advance. (11:1) God’s absolute vision form inside you.

3) Dream – When you begin to have faith and strength in the covenant, enjoyment will take place inside of your heart. You are enjoying it in advance even before it is fulfilled (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). Even when you face injustice or problems in your life, you will have joy and the strength to pray and give thanks. The covenant becomes a covenant that will surely become fulfilled.

4) Image – You will be able to visualize the specific picture that God gives you, as you prepare for your future in advance. Your standard will not be your standard. It will be that of God, which is your 25. This is when you will be able to become real witnesses. It will become your absolute journey, just as God led the Israelites accurately with clouds (36-37). These people conquered Canaan.

5) Practice – You are going forward, knowing in advance that God is fulfilling everything for the sake of the absolute goal – world evangelization. God himself will help and make happen (Isaiah 60:20-22). Even in the smallest things, our lives will be a God’s masterpiece that saves the world. Individuals like Lincoln, John Wanamaker, D. L Moody, Crosb, and Hellen Keller enjoyed this blessing in advance. There are others including Livingstone of Africa, William Carey of India, and Underwood in Korea.

 

  1. The blessing of being used for the work of raising coworkers who will together fulfill the kingdom of God, disciples, and next generations.

1) That includes our children, our spiritual children from church, and deserted children in the field.

If we are able to fully enjoy, we can influence those around us. We can relay the covenant and the blessings. Moses raised up young adults while he enjoyed the tabernacle (Exodus 24:4-5) and raised Joshua among them (Exodus 33:11).

2) Begin praying for the coworkers, disciples, and remnants in your life. Absolute disciple is one individual. When you meet someone, give them the covenant and strength. Help them discover their own mission and help them in way that you can (internship). Lead them to be able to have forum about the blessing that they receive from God in their lives. Continuation may not be easy. That is why you must hold onto the message first, and struggle in prayer.

3) That one person that you raise can save the world. Behind every historical figure, lies someone’s devotion.

 

Conclusion – Right now, it is like walking the wilderness. Hold on the covenant of the Tabernacle, enjoy the answers of God’s kingdom within you, the CVDIP that God gives you to enjoy in advance, and the one person that arises as an absolute disciple.
