Remnant Ministry that Saves Me and the Future (John 21: 15-18)                 03/01/2020

WHO and even in the United States are worried that the coronavirus will become a pandemic disease spread all across the world. While it is right to pray for the countries that are facing difficulties and be prepared, extreme worry could bring more problems instead. An illness worse than physical illness is the illness of the heart and mind. It said these are works that will continue in the last days. If we heal the world with the gospel, hold onto the identity as disciples and evangelists who save people, and properly pray, then He will make us competent and allow us to win. We need to hold onto the covenant of Psalms 91:6-7 and Revelations 9:5 and receive spiritual strength.

Approaching the disciples who were discouraged and in despair, He comforted and healed their hearts and gave them the third mission. It was, “Feed my lamb.” The lamb signifies all church members who are fully dependent on the Lord’s help and specifically symbolizes the “young children’ and “posterity remnants.” It is not merely the point of our family’s future. They are God’s future, the church’s future, and the future of the age.

The rage towards the cult organization of Sincheonji (New Heaven and Earth) who spread the coronavirus at high speed in Korea, is about to explode. The words heresy and cult are completely different words. A heresy is an argument of doctrine within the church. The word heresy is used because they stray away from traditional doctrines and end badly. Jesus and the members of Mark’s Upper Room were considered as heresy in Judaism. The Protestant Church was heresy to the Catholic Church. Eventually, which one is traditional, and which one is biblical is revealed. However, cults are false groups that are disguised as Christianity from the beginning. The person who makes the organization is the god and savior. Because they have engrained that if they don’t follow the savior, they will be cursed, people leave everything behind and follow them. They do things that destroy everything in the church and society. Eventually, cult religions will be destroyed. Just like certain viruses eventually die down and then another virus emerges, similar cults rise again. This becomes clear when observing the main cult religion groups in Korea.

Why do these cults arise?  Fundamentally, it is the works of the spirits of falsehood (Matthew 24:5, 1 John 4:6) and they have penetrated into the social background and church background of that age. There are too many church members without assurance in the church, and those who especially crumble due to daily conflicts and divisions are the elites, specialists, and posterity. The Sincheonji has infiltrated them. The mission the Lord has given at this important time schedule, “Feed my lamb,” is an important covenant we must really grab hold. The remnant ministry is the works of raising the Lord’s sheep. How will we feed, raise, care for them and help them prepare the future?

  1. There was a first question Jesus asked Peter. He asked, “Do you love me?”

It means that before we love and help others, we must first realize and hold onto the love of God.

1) In other words, it means to hold onto the gospel first.

① What is the gospel? It is that since it could not be done on my own, the Son of God came as Christ and became the answer to our life (Romans 1:16-17).

As he died on the cross and resurrected through his power, he solved the three fundamental curses of our life.

② What are they? Curses of sin (original, family, and personal sins of myself). Curse of Satan. Curse of an eternal hell.

As he freed us from these three curses (Romans 8:1-2), he made us into individuals who enjoy God’s blessing, children who enjoy a background of heaven, and as ones who will be victorious in the world with this mystery.

God who has freed us and has taken us as His children will never give up on us under any circumstances (John 13:1, Philippians 1:6).

That is why he approached Peter who had denied and cursed him and asked him this question. Hold onto this first and enjoy it.

2) There are three absolute covenants of God inside the gospel.

① God’s absolute plan is within that. He has chosen and called me so that he may use me who is lacking (1 Peter 2:9). How much will I be used? I will save people like me and furthermore, to the point where I will save the world and all nations (Isaiah 60:22).

② God’s absolute love is within that. He loved us who does not have the right to be loved, first (Romans 5:8, 1 John 4:10).

God’s absolute power is within that. It is not saying to do things with my own strength. It means that He will be with us. The 7 remnants and all those whom God used enjoyed this (“with”). Enjoy this even more in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). That is how God’s masterpiece that transcends my level comes about.

  1. Hold onto at least three reasons, raise weak church members and especially remnants (All-in).

1) This is God’s heart and desire. God has entrusted this work to us (heavenly mandate).

The Israelites who were walking in the wilderness were told to imprint the covenant because a time in which they will conquer Canaan will surely come.

① What kind of covenant is it? The future God has prepared (Deuteronomy 6:1-3), Unique God who will fulfill that work (Deuteronomy 6:4), me who is within that (Deuteronomy 6:5). We call holding onto this more specifically the CVDIP. It says to “Do this with your children and their children after them” (Deuteronomy 6:2).

② How will it be imprinted?  Scars, addiction, and depression are problems of imprints. That is why we must continuously imprint the word. In the end, answers will come as much as we hold onto the word (John 15:7), healing comes as much as we hold onto the word (Hebrews 4:12), and works of the Holy Spirit will take place when we hold onto the word (1 Thessalonians 2:13). That is why organizing the word, having a forum with the word, and memorizing the word is important.

2) We have been called for the works of saving this posterity, remnants (calling).

Remnants are the “holy seed” that God has distinguished (Isaiah 6:13). It is God that allows the seed to grow and bear fruit, but those who need to scatter the seeds and water them is us (1 Corinthians 3:6-7).

3) In order to raise the remnants God has entrusted to us, there are works we must do (commission).

① We have been given talents individually. In other words, it is a “gift” or “job” (1 Corinthians 12: 4-11).  Words of wisdom and knowledge (word ministry), works of healing illnesses and faith (healing ministry), or speaking in different kinds of tongues and interpreting (prayer background) have been given to some people. Even outside of that, mentoring and internships can be given with each person’s specialty.

② It says to use our gifts in accordance with our faith and grace (Romans 12:3-6).  For those who teach by teaching, for those who serve by serving (supporting in the back), for those who comfort by comforting (resonating, encouraging, counseling), and for those who give by giving (financial support).

The best thing is to make time to be with the remnants (that is Immanuel and Oneness). This is the reason Jesus brought them to every field he went, ate with them, and actively worked (Mission Home, the key of ministry).

Conclusion – We are raising important platforms of remnants raising the church in 30 years, leading the world, and raising other remnants. I bless you that this may become our happiness, reward, and crown to receive before God (Philippians 4:1).
