Spiritual Masterpiece that Changes the World (Genesis 18:16-19) 8/7/2022
We call words that embody one’s life goals or purpose a “motto.” The same word in Chinese describes something that is engraved and hung up on the right hand side of one’s seat (座右铭). That is what makes people’s lives.
The saved people of God have the “covenant.” God has placed his plans and goals for our lives and has given it to us. If we live haphazardly, our lives will be meaningless. On the other hand, if we hold onto the covenant of God, we will experience the fulfillment of God’s covenant through our entire lives. We call holding onto God’s covenant, looking ahead, enjoying the covenant, experiencing the covenant, and challenging ourselves, the CVDIP.
We have the eternal covenant. It is Christ. This is our life’s eternal answer, and eternal conclusion. God has saved us from sin and curses for eternity. He will allow us to have victory for eternity. He will be glorified through us for eternity.
We have been given the covenant of this age. It is World Evangelism. He will save us to save the age, heal us to heal the age, and bless us to bless the age. The true happiness, true blessings, and true success that we must enjoy lie within this. Because he needs to save the world and this age, he has saved and will bless such a weak, lacking, and invaluable lives as ours. Every age, these individuals are called the remaining ones (remnant).
The 25th World Remnant Conference has come to an end. For 25 years, I have seen and experienced how these messages proclaimed within the remnant movement have saved my inadequate and shameful life, my family, church, and the field. All I have is thanksgiving.
The covenant proclaimed during the leaders retreat this year was “the spiritual masterpiece that saves the world.” I pray that we may all stand in the forefront of the line before this blessing.
- Why must God raise us as spiritual masterpieces that change the world? There are three absolute reasons. Above all else, the parents (1st generations) that will raise the remnants must hold onto this reason and receive realistic blessings. Through the faith and prayers of the 1st generation, the remnant age will arise.
1) This age is extremely difficult. It is God’s suffering.
It will become increasingly worse. This age goes beyond the Sodom and Gomora of the passage. People do not have their senses. Matthew 24, 2Timothy 3, and the Book of Revelation specifically records how people will face suffering. Did God desire such a world? We must be able to feel God’s heart and His heartache.
2) God has given us His answer and raised us up as the “remaining ones” that will shine the light. This is God’s method. God raised up these individuals in every age. He chose Noah in the age of Nephilim, Abraham in the land of Sodom and Gomora during the age of the Babel Tower. There are the remaining individuals. In Elijah’s age (Romans 11:4-5), in the age of captivity (Isaiah 6:13), and until the very end, there will be the remaining ones (Revelation 12:17). These remaining ones, the remnants, are God’s method.
3) It is God’s mission and his conclusion for these remnants to stand as God’s masterpiece. In this evil and crumbling age, there must be witnesses. They must act as the platform, watchman, and the antenna. This was also the last covenant that Christ gave. For this, He will be with us with the authority of heaven and earth (Matthew 28:18-20), work among us through the blessing of the thronw (Mark 16:15-20), and fill us with the power of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8).
- With God’s heart, method, and conclusion, what must we do?
We must prepare our vessel so that God has no choice but to fill us, work in us, and use us (specifically, our own CVDIP). We must discover our prayer topics within it, discover our own faith, and discover the reason and content by which we challenge ourselves. This is the 15 lectures from the leader’s retreat this year. It is divided into 5 topics (parts).
1) The first topic is the current address of the remnants. The identity that God has already given us is our current address. No matter how inadequate someone is, if they are the president, their current address is the White House. The moment we became children of God, we became people that will undoubtedly enjoy the blessing of our Father’s throne. We must hold onto this identity that belongs to God (establishing the throne upon ourselves), follow the flow of the Word and not that of the world (establishing the throne upon our fields), and concentrate so that our businesses can receive this blessing of the throne (establishing the throne upon our businesses).
2) The second topic is the remnant’s journey. This is the path that God has prepared for us. We are not to go on the wrong path that the world speaks of. Regardless of how difficult this world is, there are separate paths for us to take. It is the path of the remaining ones. We must discover God’s absolute answer within whatever problems or crises we face. We are already among the 1%. It is the path of the pilgrim. This would be the time to grow deeper with God. The deeper you grow in Him, you can transcend all things. It is the path of a conqueror. We already possess the light of God that will overcome and conquer the world.
3) The third topic is the remnant’s preparation for the future. There are three goals that God has prepared (platform, watch tower, antenna). The more we enjoy the power of the throne, the more people will gather (platform). Someone must be able to remain alert in prayer. Wherever your place is, try praying 24 with the heart of a watchman (watch tower). Prepare the vessel for communication that can safe the 237 nations (antenna).
4) The fourth topic is the strength that remnants will enjoy. This is the absolute power that God has promised. Change all thoughts and problems into prayer. Integrate prayer even into your breathing (24 prayer). If we don’t have this strength, everything will be a source of conflict. Especially in this age, we must be strengthened to fight against the darkness that works within all the idols, politics, and ideologies. The people of God lose hold of this, so they were taken as captives. The ones who had this strength were Daniel and his three friends, and Esther. They became the Holy Mason, Holy Leader, and Holy Diaspora of their age.
5) The fifth topic is the remnants’ final calling. This is the content we must challenge towards while living in the end times. We must challenge toward three things. Training for missions that saves 237 nations (language and culture adaptation training). Training for evangelism that will save our fields (7 journeys of the life of the evangelist). Training for lay leaders (to be able to save all servants of God and the churches).
Conclusion – I will summarize the message through the passage. This is the covenant that was given to Abraham, and the blessing that we will enjoy (Galatians 3:14).
1) God sent an angel to warn the land of Sodom and Gomora (16). God was with Abraham in that field. This is the reason God has led us to live in this age where suffering and disasters continue. He will use us as people who will change the world. Even if there exists 10 people who know the desire and the heart of God, God said he will not advance judgement upon them. This is God’s heart.
2) God gave Abraham a promise to raise Abraham up as witnesses before those people (17). Abraham will become a great nation, and all nations will be blessed through him. This is the blessing of platform, watch tower, and antenna that we will enjoy.
3) We must relay this blessing to our posterity (17). Remnants must realize this and follow. The church must go all in for this. May we all receive blessings to become God’s spiritual masterpiece that changes the world that is full of darkness.
