The Summit’s Missions Healing (Matthew 28:16-20)
The weakest individuals were called as disciples and were used to save and bless the world. They were the summits who saved the world.
Why was ‘missions healing’ added to the title? There are at least three meanings within it. First, I need to be healed to where I can save all the nations that are by me. Works in which unbelievers and the multi-ethnic groups are revived must arise in the place I reside in for me to live as well. Then, the forces of curses will crumble, and the kingdom of God will come upon the place that I live. Why is the world so difficult? It is because we who have the light are not shining the light (Isaiah 60:1). If you are still averse to foreign nations and people from foreign cultures, you need to be healed. That was Jonah’s failure. Second, I must be healed to where I can go to the ends of the earth and do missions. God says that He will make our everything (studies, work, business, tears, and pain) into evidence for that reason (Acts 1:8). This is the last mission and blessing that Christ gave to us before He ascended into heaven and sat on the right hand of God’s throne. When does this evidence come? When my life is holding onto this covenant and is within evangelism and missions. Answers and blessings will come lifelong. That is why a missions devotion worship service is important. Third, we must heal the very missions. We must do the missions that God desires and the one that the Word teaches. Missions have become a program and relief work. There were even instances when missionaries were in the front leading the invasions and conquests of other countries. Some people say they do missions because they have nothing else to do. That is not the correct missions. How will we do the missions that God desires?
- It must be missions that see the spiritual fact of the mission field and share only Christ.
1) First, train to see all the problems, events, people, and the world through Satan’s 12 strategies (trap, snare).
① Why do these terrible things happen to me? Why does that person do evil things that I simply cannot understand? It is a spiritual problem.
In the end, it all came from a nature that is self-centered, flesh-centered, and centered on the corrupted world. It is the life the person has lived all this time and could be old scars. They are unable to control themselves despite saying and doing evil things. It is a spiritual problem.
② Extreme ignorance, poverty, filth, and corruption are visible in mission fields.
The stronger the idol worship is in a country, the more prevalent these are. We must tell them that these are Satan’s strategies and give them spiritual healing. Peter saw this when he saw the lame beggar by the Temple Gates called Beautiful. Paul saw this spiritual problem wherever he went.
2) Only then will the conclusion be made as only Christ, and the power and authority of the throne will be revealed as transcendence of time and space.
① Just as Peter proclaimed to the lame beggar, a life is changed when only Christ alone is proclaimed (Acts 3:6). We must help them to be delivered by the authority of the True Priest. The forces of Satan behind that need to crumble by the authority of the True King. We must help them experience that Christ has come as the way, truth, and life by the authority of the True Prophet.
② These three authorities combined are called ‘all the authority of heaven and earth (authority of the throne),’ and power comes from that authority.
Works of uniqueness and recreation will take place in whatever we do when we hold onto, enjoy and proclaim only Christ.
3) Discover the individual who knows this mystery of Christ and whom you can stake your life with and go forth together.
They are called the spiritual summit, the disciples who will save the world.
① Jesus’ disciples were inadequate in other aspects and even failed numerous times, but in the end, they followed Christ.
They healed, changed, and saved the world that is filled with spiritual problems. They were the true summits that God used.
② There are disciples who have been prepared to be used like that even among the unbelievers.
We are to go to them and baptize them (establishment of personal (individual) salvation). Go to the unbeliever and have them receive salvation. They will find the mission they need to do in the church (being established in the church). Rightfully, they will devote themselves to the church that the Lord raised. Then, they will go into the world and save other unbelievers (reproduction). Many need to be saved beside an unbeliever.
③ We need to help the missionaries who know the spiritual problem and know how to evangelize and raise disciples.
The Bible said that whoever gives even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple will by no means lose his reward (Matthew 10:42). As Paul’s request, become a watchman of prayer for three things (Ephesians 6:18). For yourself, the church, and evangelists.
- The true main figures of evangelism and missions are the laymen. It is because they are the missionaries of the fields they reside in.
1) This is why seven deacons and elders were appointed in the early church. They were raised as the missionaries who would save their field.
This is one of the most important reasons why the church was corrupted and lost strength after the early church up until the Protestant Reformation. Everything turned into flesh-centeredness and world-centeredness when the laymen lost hold of the gospel and evangelism. Who is at fault? It is probably the pastor’s fault for failing to train the laymen to relay the gospel and evangelize.
2) The laymen and lay leaders are the royal priesthood of the field. This is the <Priesthood of All Believers> that was proclaimed during the Protestant Reformation.
The Darakbang (Upper Room) evangelism movement is restoring this. Are you working? You are a missionary of your workplace. Are you in college? You are a college missionary. Are you in the military? You are a military missionary. Are you medical personnel? You are a medical missionary.
3) Laymen specialists like such became Paul’s coworkers and fulfilled world evangelization together (tentmaker Aquila, medic Luke).
The mission field is in dire need of these skilled individuals and specialists equipped with the gospel. In addition, skilled individuals and specialists need to accompany even the short-term mission trips to open more doors in a short amount of time.
- We must prepare the future missions. It is raising remnants as summits and disciples and commissioning them (TCKs are the main figures).
We must relay the gospel I enjoyed, the blessings I received, and the missions I experienced to the next generation.
1) If our posterity loses hold of evangelism and missions, darkness will cover the world and church.
If so, how much would they be oppressed by darkness and live in suffering? Therefore, we must raise them as remnant missionaries who will take care (responsibility) of the future.
2) These remnant missionaries can be healthy for longer and carry out exact missions when they go to the mission field.
If our old age is entrusted in God’s hands like Moses and Caleb, we will rightfully be able to do works that change the age. However, eventually, Joshua, who succeeded Moses, and Othniel and Caleb’s daughter, who succeeded Caleb, completed that work. There is a reason why missions history tries to set Korea’s missions as a model. A seminary was established and raised disciples, independent missions took place centered on Koreans, and schools and hospitals were established, and works that healed the age took place. These works were done by summit missionaries who were in their 20s.
Conclusion – Missions that fulfill only, uniqueness and recreation, the laymen specialist missions used for that work, and raising remnant disciple missionaries are the core of missions healing. The Lord of the throne will be with us who devote ourselves to this work until the end of the earth.
